see my vest: genuine gorilla chest

Not really, but I am enjoying a shaggy shearling gilet for extra layered winter warmth.  I bought a lovely one from Cos after a few months (I lie.  More like seasons, years...) of searching.  He goes with, well, just about everything!

Particularly tasty with a lick of black leather.

neat navy

Ongoing navy obsession.

Last weekend was spent in Manchester having a grand old time with my wee bezzer Mel.  We ate A LOT of great food, from viennese slices to Armenian cuisine, and went out for some mad flaming cocktails in glasses as big as my face.  Yum.  Was knackered when got home on Sunday night but it was completely worth it.
 Enjoying terrible cat jumpers
Armenian coffee - so thick, it's chewy.  No joke.  I was buzzing (poor Mel).

Mel looking great.  Me suffering from the sour cocktail...
 Too many cocktails...
THE PANDA EAR MUFFS!  So sad and lonely in a vintage shop in West Didsbury.  Thinking about them makes me want to cry a bit.

jumpers

i am so happy with the wonderful array of kintwear on the highstreet this winter.  however, i seem to be averaging one new jumper per week, so perhaps not so great.  favs are from cos, toppers, zara and whistles.  real beauties.

glassworks studios blog ran a great piece about jumpers a few weeks ago.  really lovely style inspiration.

mebs not with the bare legs for me (i live in scotland) but still some cosy ideas to keep me happy and warm.

creepy

Since tomorrow is Halloween, I thought I would put together a little mood board of some wonderfully wicked women from some of my favourite films.

Unfortunately, as I have to go to a proper job (boohoo) and Halloween falls on a Monday this year I won't be able to celebrate on the actual day as I would like to.  Instead my lovely friend James blagged us free tickets to the Creatures of the Night event that took place on Ashton Lane in Glasgow last night.  The whole thing was somewhat insane, with street performers and wild decorations.  Really impressive though.

I saw a lot of 'sexy' bees and bat girls last night.  Glasgow is usually hilarious on Halloween.  The best sighting of all time was Superman shouting at his girlfriend to come out after she had curled up inside the cardboard frame of her Spongebob Squarepants costume - she was crying inside.

My and my friends outfits were a little last minute to say the least, so I ended up recycling an old child's skeleton costume that cost me approx £4 two years ago.  The pumpkin 'tabbard' I purchased from the pound shop was quickly binned, although only after much hilarity as various people tried it on.

Maybe next year, with a little more effort, my idea of a Carrie costume can become a reality.  Better get practicing my scary stare with plenty of eye exercises until then...
